Fuel Tank

When it came to fitting the fuel tank I found I had created a problem for myself.

When running the brake lines I ran them on top of the chassis rails and this is where the tank rests.

So the only solution was to raise the tanks up to clear the brake lines, so I welder on two 30 x 10 mm aluminium bars to the bottom of the tank.

This also solved the problem of the location of the fuel pump / fuel sensor, as guy who made the tank for MNR welded a support collar for the fuel pump direct where the straps go.

As I didn't like the idea of having a long rubber fuel hose and having to pop rivet it every six inches (for IVA) I decided to make another aluminium fuel pipe and epoxy clips to the tank. It just looks neater.

I'll only need two short pieces of rubber hose to connect the two aluminium fuel line and the fuel pump now.

I'm just waiting for the fuel filter to arrive which sits inside the tank and connects on to the fuel pump. Once that arrives I can bolt the fuel pump in and connect the pipes.

I have now replace the fuel filter which is attached to the bottom of the fuel pump and have bolted everything in and connected all the pipes.
