Pedal Box & Throttle Actuator Control Module

One of the problems with fitting the Honda F20c motor and gearbox is the width of the gearbox.

The only solution to accommodate the gearbox is to make the tunnel wider, however this comes at a price. In order to make the tunnel wider you need to make the foot wells smaller / narrower. This in it's self created another problem now.

As you can see the standard pedal box setup didn't fit anymore, so the only solution I came up with was to make the accelerator pedal a lot narrower and move it over a bit.  Below is the new pedal box with the additional part on the right-hand side for the accelerator cable mounting which require turning to keep the cable in.

The accelerator pedal has had the lug off the original pedal welded on. However I have now found that I need a stop to prevent the pedal falling forward so I'll need to weld one on and get it powder coated again.

The other issue I've been working on was the location of the Throttle Actuator Control Module, as this motor comes out of a 2006 model it's a drive by wire setup. I didn't want to shorten the cable so I spent an ages working out where to mount it so it wouldn't be in the way, finally I found out that it fits nicely behind the radiator on the driver's side.

After uploading all the photos last night, I decided that I didn't like how the Throttle Actuator Control Module was mounted as it looked like a bodge job as it didn't sit straight. So after work tonight I changed all the mounting brackets including the ones that I had just powder coated, but I much happier with the result.

The module doesn't sit so close to the shock now.
